Abandoned cars, attics, accessible holes in homes, barns, sheds, shacks, and tents are all possible living spaces for raccoons, all depending on the opportunity. Barns and sheds are their more popular choices, as they can be sheltered from the outside world without having to deal with the threat of humans more often than not. If the building is decrepit or falling apart, it doesn’t matter to raccoons, as all they care about is simply the opportunity of finding a place to spend the night.
